It used to be that we –
Existed under the guise of possible retribution;
Now we languish about the debris.

Congenial it was; when we lived harmoniously,
With one another and the sublunary world
Instead we force a sultry existence,
As true human nature unfurled

This generation feels no compunction,
At the rampant destruction of ourselves;
In spirit, in mind, and physically, offers a contradistinction
Parallel in size only to the infinite – it seems a farce.

A blatant disregard for our need of self preservation
We have sealed the date as imminent, for our own expiration.
