Turning slowly my body affixed
To a celestial body of which
All who behold remain transfixed

There were visitors once, I yelled, “hey!”
But they couldn’t hear me
And so unmoved I lay
But still we all remain on the apogee

The visitors departed and left some of the paraphernalia
And interesting site to see the Red White and Blue memorabilia

It’s nice to see it still there, when in reality other rocks
Slam to the surface nearby causing seismic shocks!

If anything I could wish the universe to be more attune
I’d converse with other beings, instead of my existence impugn

It really is lonely being a little rock on the moon.
